Since Halloween is so closely related to gory and petrifying elements, you can’t have Halloween without people disguised in frightening clothing. If you want to create a chilling persona, your costume can either be simple or quite detailed. Model your costume after a familiar character or go for a more general villain such as a vampire.

Darth Vader Star Wars Costume

When you go to the first showing of a Star Wars film, you will notice people dressed as Darth Vader and Stormtroopers. Lots of fans would love a realistic Darth Vader outfit. Darth Vader is an excellent costume choice because both men or women can use it, no matter what their age. You wear a mask and a suit covering your entire body, so you can conceal your identity as long as you wish. However, you will hear many people say “I am your father” and breath heavy in your presence.

Jack Sparrow Pirates of the Caribbean Costumes

You can get a pirate costume even the Captain would envy, complete with a convincing mustache, eye patch, hat, and sword. If you purchase your disguise off the web, you can be sure it fits you even if you don’t try it on. You can dress up as the infamous Jack Sparrow or change it up and be Jacqueline, a female pirate captain.

Vampire Diguises for Halloween

With new technology comes better ways of making costumes, which are more realistic all the time. Today, fangs are made from better materials than plastic, making them more ghoulish, and you don’t have to dress as Dracula. You can find a vampire costume appropriate for a person of just about any age and sex. My wife donned a very complete vampiress guise one year and terrorized kids all night with her fangs and fake blood (all in good fun, of course!).

Halloween gives you an excuse to get out of your everyday clothes and attend gatherings where dressing up in a frightening disguise is not only acceptable, but expected as well.
